The idea for EdPotential originated at Macleans College in Auckland, New Zealand, over a decade ago. After initial development by a passionate group of teachers and developers, and a close partnership with Victoria University of Wellington’s Faculty of Education, EdPotential was created.

The goal was always to help schools improve student achievement through easy access to student data and advanced analytics that empower educators to identify trends, target interventions, and drive continuous improvement.

In late 2021, EdPotential was acquired by Education Perfect, a move that has expanded our resources and reach while deepening our commitment to transforming education through data. This partnership has enabled us to refine our platform further, invest in cutting-edge technology, and deliver even greater value to schools across New Zealand and Australia.

Today, our EdPotential team remains New Zealand-based and comprises a unique blend of specialists – from experienced educators and business professionals to expert software developers and data analysts – working together to empower schools with actionable insights that drive success.
